Atlantis is one of Surrey’s busiest, most experienced and popular function bands, formed 20 years ago in Kingswood, Surrey, near London, where they still rehearse.
The line up consists of lead vocalists and rhythm guitarists: Lisa and Greg; Laval on lead guitar and vocals; Tony on bass guitar and vocals; with Chris keeping things moving on drums. Atlantis perform as either a five piece or as a trio.
Individually, Lisa, Mike, Greg, Tony and Chris bring a wealth of musical experience to Atlantis. Between them, they have worked with some of the biggest names in the music, recording, film, television, cabaret and cruise industries including Michael Jackson, Cliff Richard, The Shadows, Michael Ball, Chris de Burgh, Fats Domino, The Nolans, Dame Joan Collins, Danny LaRue and Bobby Davro.
Mike is a founder member with Lisa, who runs a successful music promotions business in Surrey, Chris presents various monthly radio shows on Surrey Hills Community Radio; Tony, also a radio broadcaster and Greg are father and son and Laval shares the band’s passion for live music alongside his love of guitars.
Atlantis’ vast and ever-expanding repertoire spans more than 7 decades, though with a definite focus on ‘The Golden Age of Music’, i.e. the classic hits from the 1960s to the 1990s, with a purposeful nod to the 60s and 70s, as these are without doubt the most requested and popular decades across all ages. The criteria for Atlantis’ music to be included is that it spans the generations.
